Portugal Fashion: Second day with ‘Article 1’ and ‘Winter in Africa’
The second day of the 44th Portugal Fashion starts today at 15:00 in the Customs of Porto with the collection “Article 1”, by designer Inês Torcato, and ends with the ‘Winter in Africa’ parade by Miguel Vieira.
[dropcap type=”background”]I[/dropcap]nes Torcato said that her new collection for the next cold season will have more than 20 unisex coordinates and the inspiration comes from Article 1 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, “especially on the issue of gender equality.”
“All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights. They are endowed with reason and conscience and should act towards one another in the spirit of brotherhood”, can be read in article 1 of the declaration.
The second day is followed by Sara Maia (15:00), Estelita Mendonça (16:00), Sophia Kah, and Ana Teixeira de Sousa (17:00), which takes the collection “Tiger Souls “after having premiered in London last February.
At 6:00 pm, Katty Xiomara presents “Maria Mimosa”, a tribute collection to the character “Hello Kitty”, the cat that was born in 1974, the same year as the designer.
According to Xiomara, the new collection dedicated to women also tries to raise consumer awareness for the durability of the pieces.
After the presentations of the brands Pé de Chumbo (19:00) and TM Teresa Martins (20:00), the evening of the second day of this Portugal Fashion ends with the designers’ parades Diogo Miranda (21:30), Luís Buchinho (22: 30) and Miguel Vieira (23:30).
The 44th edition of Portugal Fashion fall/winter 2019-20 ends on Sunday and, until then, the fashion event has also planned about 20 fashion shows, namely the designer Luís Onofre and the pair Alves / Gonçalves, as well as several footwear brands such as Fly London, Lemon Jelly, Nobrand and Ambitious, among others.
In addition to the dozens of fashion shows, the fashion show has also planned the showroom ‘Brand Up’, with clothing, footwear, jewelry, accessories, leather goods, and lifestyle products.
