Portuguese military ensured drinking water to 300 Mozambican families

Portuguese military personnel in Mozambique have secured drinking water supply to 300 families, about 1,500 people, over a four-month period, in the neighborhood of September 25, the General Staff of the Armed Forces (EMGFA) reported.

According to a note released today by the EMGFA, “First Sergeant Almeida and Second Sergeant Feijão finish today another mission of a strong humanitarian nature in Mozambique”, after “during about four months” they guaranteed the “supply of drinking water to 300 families (1,500 people) in the neighborhood of 25 September. ”

Today, it was also formalized the “definitive concession of the mobile unit of Portuguese water treatment to the village of Nhamatanda.”

The ceremony was also attended by the “Consul General of Portugal in Beira, João Patrício”, as well as “representatives of the Mozambican authorities of the village of Nhamatanda”, surpasses the EMGFA.
