[dropcap]C[/dropcap]asino Estoril reopens the Auditorium and the panoramic Foyer of the Salão Preto e Prata to welcome, exclusively in live stream, an original cycle of concerts and stand-up comedy shows. Artfeist Produções Artísticas is the promoter of this program called “Serões no Casino Estoril”, which takes place between the 9th and 31st of August. This is a timely initiative that aims to boost national culture, taking into account the complex current situation, originated by the Covid-19 pandemic crisis.
It took place last Saturday, August 22, broadcast via streaming, due to the pandemic situation we are experiencing, another great Artfeist production, one night with Simone de Oliveira and Nuno Feist at the piano.

This was a concert of friends, showing great complicity, a result of various concerts that they have given together. Fun, cheerful, irreverent as only she knows how to be, that’s how Simone introduced herself, for another “Serões no Casino”.
“Auto-Retrato” opened the veil of memories that Simone and Nuno brought us, followed by “Degrau em Degrau”, “Foi Assim” and “Valsa de uma Vida“, three poems with great meaning for Simone, who shares to be “a woman of great passions, but only made herself known to whomever she wanted, and that it was in a vaguely painful way that she felt the songs as if the songs were a medicine”
The Portuguese artist does not miss an opportunity to honor the poets with whom she worked among them David Mourão Ferreira, Nóbrega de Sousa, Jerónimo Bragança, Nuno Nazareth Fernandes, Luís Tinoco, Miguel Gameiro, Augusto Madureira and José Carlos Ary dos Santos, this being the poet who knew her the most as an artist and person.

Simone sang “No Teu Poema” honoring Carlos do Carlos, this song was sung by Carlos do Carmo in 1976 at the Festival RTP da Canção, where Simone had sung “Desfolhada“, 7 years earlier, and sang “Rosa Sangue“, an original song by the Portuguese group Amor Electro, dedicated to Marisa Liz.
60 minutes went by, which passed too quickly, because Simone sings and enchants, but before her farewell, she sang “Apenas o Meu Povo”, “Sol de Inverno” and “A Desfolhada“, an essential song of Simone’s life that took her to the Eurovision Song Contest in 1969.
Simone said goodbye thanking everyone at home and Artfeist production and adds that “as long as life leaves and the voice will not fail you will continue to sing” and we will be here to pay you the homage that she deserves.
