Space Force satellite successfully leaves for space

SpaceX has successfully launched a GPS satellite from US Space Force, the United States military agency dedicated to space issues, on board the Falcon 9 rocket.

The mission that left Cape Canaveral, Florida, at 11:45 pm from Lisbon, had been on stand-by since the beginning of October due to technical problems in the company’s rocket led by Elon Musk. At launch, Falcon 9 debuted a new first stage, which was also successfully retracted after landing on the Of Course I Still Love You platform in the Atlantic Ocean.

SpaceX has confirmed that the cargo from the US Space Force is already in orbit and is now on its way to its final destination.

The first attempt to launch the GPS III-SV04 mission had to be aborted seconds before the Falcon 9 took flight. At issue was an engine anomaly detected by the rocket’s computer.
