O tão aguardado hotel de luxo que vai dar uma nova vida ao icónico Mosteiro de Santa Clara, em Vila do Conde, já está a aceitar reservas a partir do próximo dia 22 de março.

This will be an opportunity to satisfy curiosity around one of the most awaited openings in the tourism sector and to enjoy a truly differentiating stay in a unique building, which combines more than 700 years of history with contemporary sophistication.
Located in Vila do Conde, just 25 minutes from the centre of Porto and 15 minutes from Francisco Sá Carneiro airport, The Lince Santa Clara is built in the iconic and imposing Monastery of Santa Clara, in a privileged location over the mouth of the Ave river.
Surrounded by a luxurious and welcoming environment, the new five-star hotel offers 87 rooms, including 11 suites and unique accommodations in mansards, with stunning views over the river, the sea and the city.
In addition to the architecture and beauty of the building and the various spaces that make it up – which leave no one indifferent -, The Lince Santa Clara invites guests to travel, in a refined way, to the times of contemplation and serenity that were lived here by the Poor Clares, a religious order that once inhabited the Monastery.
Among the many experiences that can be had here, the Oculto restaurant stands out, designed by renowned chef Vítor Matos (recently distinguished with two new Michelin stars), where the freshest seasonal ingredients give rise to true works of culinary art.; the Mosteiro restaurant, run by the experienced D. Júlia – a renowned cook among lovers of regional flavours -, with creative cuisine, inspired by Portuguese gastronomy, where tradition and authenticity intertwine; and the exclusive Wine Cellar, an epicurean private space, designed for wine lovers, who will find more than 100 references, carefully selected and available for tasting in a more intimate environment.
The hotel also has an elegant space dedicated to well-being – the Aqueduct Wellness & Spa by Sisley Paris, with access to an outdoor garden where it is possible to practice activities such as meditation or yoga.
Betting on recovering the strong ties that once existed between the Poor Clares of this Monastery and the local population, the hotel presents itself as a space open to the city. In addition to asserting itself as a reference among national and international tourists, The Lince Santa Clara aims, at the same time, to restore the splendour of this heritage to Vila do Conde and contribute to its tourist development as a charming, authentic and appealing destination.
The concession for the Monastery of Santa Clara, under the Revive program, for its rehabilitation and transformation into a historic hotel aimed at the luxury segment, was awarded, in 2018, to The Lince Hotels group. The project represented an investment of 18 million and was responsible, to date, for the creation of 125 jobs.
The opening of The Lince Santa Clara marks a new phase of expansion for this national hotel group, which recently carried out a rebranding effort, aimed at repositioning The Lince Hotels brand within the sector and the general public.
