Toyota Yaris Hybrid Triumphs at Global Mobi Awards
The Toyota Yaris Hybrid was elected the Best Hybrid Car of 2020, not only for its electrified engine with the full-hybrid system, but also for its recognized qualities of agility, functionality and economy.
The category seeks to find the best light passenger car that uses a hybrid propulsion system (combination of electric energy and fuels) and that represents an advance towards electric mobility.
In its various categories, there were 53 candidates for the smart mobility awards, assessed for six months. The independent jury is composed of representatives of some of the most relevant national media, as well as specialists in mobility and transport.
The competition included the best national proposals in various categories of the Intelligent Mobility awards in Portugal: Cities, Citizenship, Companies and Organizations, Best Electric Car, Best Hybrid Car, Best Plug-in Hybrid Car, Best LEV Vehicle (Light Electric Vehicle), Best Mobility Technology and Auto Technology.
The fourth generation of Toyota’s hybrid system is the result of more than 20 years of experience and development, reaching today a superior level of performance and efficiency that are reflected in the various distinctions received this year.
One of them precisely in the New Generation Toyota Yaris, which was elected the European Car of the Year 2021, (The Car Of The Year) and is also recognized for its smooth driving, low emissions and affordable price.
