‘Everything Everywhere at the Same Time’ is the big winner

The 95th edition of the Oscars took place this morning, with a presentation by Jimmy Kimmel at the Dolby Theater in Los Angeles, and almost all the stars that make us laugh, cry and dream, whether on the small or big screen, passed through there.
‘All in Everywhere at the Same Time’ won seven of the 11 awards for which it had been nominated. The film by Daniel Kwan and Daniel Schneiert took home the statuettes for Best Film, Best Director and Best Actress, Best Original Script, Best Editing, Best Supporting Actress, and Best Supporting Actor.
‘Im Westen nichts Neues’ won four Oscars, Best International Film, Best Original Soundtrack, Best Artistic Direction, and Best Cinematography, being another of the big winners of the night.
Portugal for the first time with a nominated film, the animated short film ‘Ice Merchants’, however, the statuette for Best Animated Short Film went to ‘The Boy, the Mole, the Fox, and the Horse’, despite not being The fact that we won does not take away any merit from João Gonzalez, and the President of the Republic and the Minister of Culture, still during the early hours of the morning, reacted to the awards and congratulated him on his nomination. The award for best actress went to Michelle Yeoh, for her performance in the film ‘Everywhere at the Same Time’. The Malaysian actress, who also wins the Oscar in the first nomination, was the first actress from Malaysia to be nominated for any Oscar category.
The musical moments were the responsibility of Rihanna and Lady Gaga, both nominated for Best Song, however, the Oscar went to the Indian artists who interpreted ‘Naatu Naatu’, from the film ‘RRR: Uprising, Rebellion, Revolution’.
Portugal pela primeira com um filme nomeado, a curta-metragem de animação ‘Ice Merchants’, no entanto a estatueta de Melhor Curta-Metragem de Animação, foi para ‘O Rapaz, a Toupeira, a Raposa e o Cavalo’, apesar de não termos vencido, não tira qualquer mérito a João Gonzalez, e o Presidente da República e ministro da Cultura, ainda durante a madrugada, reagiram aos prêmios, e deram-lhe os parabéns pela nomeação. Esperemos que seja a primeira de muitas.
O Óscar de melhor actor foi para Brendan Fraser pela sua atuação no filme ‘A Baleia’, actor que depois dos sucessos ‘Múmia’ tenha desaparecido quase por completo, e que ressurgiu neste filme, vencendo logo na sua primeira nomeação.
O prémio para melhor actiz, foi para Michelle Yeoh, pela sua atuação no filme ‘Tudo em Todo o Lado ao Mesmo Tempo’. A atriz malaia, que conquista também o Óscar na primeira nomeação, sendo a primeira atriz da Malásia a ser nomeada para qualquer categoria dos Óscares.
Os momentos musicais foram da responsabilidade de Rihanna e Lady Gaga, ambas nomeadas para Melhor Canção, no entanto o Óscar foi para os artistas indianos que interpretaram ‘Naatu Naatu’, do filme ‘RRR’.
