U19 national team beat Turkey again in private match

The Portuguese women’s under-19 soccer team today beat Turkey 5-0 again in preparation for the first round of qualifying for the 2020 European Championship in Georgia.

After winning 3-0 at the Bragança Municipal on Tuesday, the ‘kinas’ team today reached the ‘handful’ of goals at the São Sebastião Stadium in Mirandela.

Telma Encarnação, who had scored in the first game, scored twice on 58 and 62 minutes in a match where they also scored Marta Ferreira, 60, Francisca Narazeth, with a ‘roulette’ over the goalkeeper, at 85, and Ana Teles at 86.

The women’s under-19 team prepares for the Euro2020 qualifying campaign, which will take place between October 2nd and 8th, in Portugal, in which Germany, Albania, and Azerbaijan will have their opponents in group 3.

The top two finishers in the 12 groups, along with the top four finishers, qualify for the elite round, which will take place on November 21st and the games by 2020.

The finals of the U19 Women’s European Championship, in which Portugal was a semi-finalist in 2012, will take place in Georgia in July 2020.
