“Pancake Tuesday” is coming at Audrey’s Café Grill Bistro & Bar
On February 13th, Carnival Day, Audrey’s Café Grill Bistro & Bar presents its Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day, an event that promises to delight lovers and those curious about one of the oldest recipes in the world.
Based on an ancient recipe and tradition in the world of gastronomy, pancakes are, for many lovers and curious people, a true sensorial experience. Light, sweet or savoury, and to the taste of each diner, they can be served with or without compliments. Fruit, honey, salmon, ham, chocolate and honey are just some of the ingredients that accompany it, but the imagination has no limits in this dish that can be served at any meal.
Shrove Tuesday Pancake Day (Shrove Tuesday or Shrove Tuesday) precedes Ash Wednesday, as such, the last day before Lent, and is celebrated in some countries with the consumption of pancakes. It is precisely this celebration that Audrey’s Café Grill Bistro & Bar is promoting next Tuesday, February 13th by Chef Thiago César.
Using a family recipe of Dutch origin, Chef Thiago César created a special menu to celebrate Pancake Day 2024. There are countless options for those who choose to attend this event. From the Nutella Pancake Stake (fluffy American-style pancakes with Nutella and cream, almond flakes and strawberries), to the Herby Spinach Fritters (with lots of herbs, cumin and spinach, topped with Greek yogurt sauce and hot spicy butter), or even the Banana Marshmallow (banana, marshmallow & chocolate or caramel sauce), these will be moments of pure delight, discovery and gluttony. Even more so, when Lent begins the next day.

ABOUT Chef Thiago César
Thiago César interned at the Ritz Four Seasons hotel in Lisbon and went on to the Marriott Hotel for 3 years, where he had the opportunity to create menus regularly which he considers one of the periods of greatest professional growth. The menus created were inspired by Portuguese gastronomy, which also enhanced his knowledge of the country where he decided to live. He would have other professional experiences, such as at Sana Lisboa and Pateo Velho, until arriving at the kitchens of the Hotel Santiago de Alfama, where he is currently located.
