‘Venom’ sequel postponed to next year

'Venom: Let There Be Carnage' will be directed by Andy Serkis and will be starring Tom Hardy, back in the role of Eddie Brock/Venom.

[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he film about the Spider-Man villain and anti-hero from the Marvel universe was due to hit theaters in October, but given the isolation and social distance measures in place in many countries due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the Sony has decided to postpone the debut to June 2021, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Another novelty related to the sequel to the 2018 film is that there is already an official title, and that mentions the villain of the feature film. ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’, that’s the title of the film.

Carnage’s presence in the sequel is nothing new, since it had already been anticipated in the post-credits of ‘Venom’, with a cameo by Woody Harrelson in the shoes of Cletus Kasady, the psychopath who will become Carnage.
