A Garota Não and Luca Argel launch “Países que ninguém invade”

Países que ninguém invade” is the result of the partnership between the two artists, which materialized after the paths of Catia Mazari Oliveira (A Garota Não) and Luca Argel crossed in a tribute to Chico Buarque.

In the words of A Girl No: “It happened that we crossed paths on the same stage, where Chico Buarque was being honored. As we waited our turn to enter, we talked quietly behind the curtain about life in general and nothing in particular. And then I said to Luca: are we going to make a song together, boy? He didn’t seem thrilled, but he was amiable as he always is. We didn’t bring it up again, until a few days later I received a little humming audio. It was the beginning of our song”.

The theme represents “a construction made of the stuff of dreams, of lands that are yet to be invented and live within us. Where goods are universal, belonging to no one, maintained and cared for by everyone, for everyone. Where war takes place without weapons, no tears, no death, and misunderstandings are dealt with in word and reason, not without pain, but for collective upliftment“.

The video was directed by Pedro Estêvão Semedo, the photography was directed by Mário Guilherme and Raquel Moreira, and produced by Garagem.

We have the countries that no one invades
nor counterfeit
the dreams
the fights
the fruits
the bridges
trumpets
of war and peace.
