Casino Lisboa offers on Christmas Day concert of the Gospel Collective

The Gospel Collective presents itself, precisely on December 25th at the Arena Lounge of the Casino Lisboa, which offers a real Christmas gift to its visitors.
In a very special concert, the Gospel Collective promises to revisit not only the American African Gospel songbook, black spirituals and new/urban gospel but also the Afro-Gospel, performing songs in English, Portuguese and Swahili. With free entrance, not to be missed, at 22 hours.
The Gospel Collective, directed by the singer and teacher Anastácia Carvalho and Manuela Oliveira, is a group based in Lisbon and formed by about 70 voices which include a series of professional singers from different musical areas as well as different nationalities within the Lusophone. The experienced group is about 13 years old, but it is led by elements that have been linked to gospel music for more than two and a half decades.
With an expressive musical and cultural diversity, the shows are full of energy and joy, but also of moments of contemplation, unique and divine where palms are mixed with tears always in full communion and participation of the audience.
Attending a Gospel Collective concert is the guarantee of an unmatched show filled with rhythm, clapping, love, joy and improvisation. If music has a transforming power, gospel in its richness has the ability to meet these ingredients and so this is the proposal of the Gospel Collective, a Christmas 2024 full of Peace, Joy, Hope and Communion.
“This Christmas, 2024, with songs we will revisit some of the best known black spirits, remembering the diaspora and hope kept in faith also chant some of the most well-known songs of this time,” reveals the Gospel Collective.
In the Christmas concert, the Gospel Collective choir performs on December 25 at 10 pm in the Arena Lounge of the Casino Lisboa. Admission is free.
