João Almeida rises to 7th place in the world ranking
Portuguese cyclist João Almeida (Deceuninck-QuickStep) rose to seventh place in the world ranking of road cycling, whose list was released this Tuesday by the União Ciclista Internacional.
João Almeida recently won the Tour of Poland and the Tour of Luxembourg, and totals 2,084 points, having risen one place in the ranking, which is led by Slovenian Tadej Pogacar (UAE Emirates), with 4,628 points, who switched positions with the Belgian Wout van Aert (Jumbo-Visma). Slovenian Primoz Roglic (Jumbo-Visma) is in third place.
