After the official start in Gondomar, last Saturday, July 13th, where around 5800 Color Runners lived a day full of colour and excitement, it is Oeiras’ turn to host what is considered the happiest and most colourful 5km on the Planet, next Saturday, July 20th.
With no age limit for participation, The Color Run Ageas Seguros aims to bring family and friends together on a day of colour, where well-being and health combine with happiness and fun, for a joint and greater purpose.
This year’s dress code is inspired by music lovers because the new tour’s theme is – Disco Tour. The match will take place at 4 pm, at the Centro Desportivo Nacional do Jamor.
As usual, The Color Run Ageas Seguros organisation states that this is not just a race: it is a festival of colour, music and lots of joy. The big challenge is to ensure that all participants start the race wearing a white t-shirt and finish coloured from head to toe.
This year the theme is the “Disco Tour”, so all participants can bring the best disco outfits, practice their dance steps and be ready for the surprises prepared by the organizers of The Color Run Ageas Seguros.
This will also be the first edition where in the 5km there will be eight entertainment stations along the route. This year, anyone participating in The Color Run Ageas Seguros can count on four colour stations, with a station entirely dedicated to the Disco Tour where there will be no shortage of coloured powder and shine powder to make all the Color Runners “shine”, a foam station, a sensory tunnel, a station with live music, and even something new: a station with inflatables! In addition to the colour stations, it is possible to dance to the music performed by the animators of The Color Run Ageas Seguros and the singer Filipe Gonçalves, the official speaker of The Color Run Ageas Seguros, who is present at The Color Run for the fifth consecutive year.
Everything is ready for an unforgettable afternoon with lots of colored powder surrounding the participants as they pass by. These powders are made from corn starch, used in the Food Industry, which makes running safe and suitable for all ages.
As is usual in all The Color Run events, mobility is a factor to take into account and that is why the routes are adapted for people with reduced mobility so that no one is left out of the most fun event of the year!
This year, after a survey carried out on the social networks of The Color Run Ageas Seguros, regarding the suggestion of associations to be present at the event, the Color Runners suggested, the Nuno Belmar da Costa Center (CNBC), from the Cerebral Palsy Association of Lisbon (APCL), which will have the opportunity to provide its users with a memorable day. Young people from the António Luís de Oliveira Foundation, in Lisbon, which welcomes groups of siblings of both sexes, from 3 to 18 years old, from dysfunctional families, will also be able to participate free of charge in The Color Run Ageas Seguros.
The Color Run Ageas Seguros is more fun if experienced in a group, so there is a discounted price for those who purchase a team ticket, with a minimum of 4 participants, and there is no maximum limit. But those who don’t have a team have nothing to fear: there are also individual tickets.
In an event ideal for families, children up to 10 years old have free entry. Tickets for adults range from €23.90 for a team ticket to €25.90 for an individual ticket.
The tickets include the participation kit with everything you need for the event: a bag alluding to The Color Run Ageas Seguros, the bracelet that gives access to the venue, a Disco Tour-style themed t-shirt with an original design, a headband full of style, a backpack and 2 removable tattoos and 1 sachet of coloured powder to live the happiest 5 km on the Planet.
