For those who consider themselves lovers of Fingertips music, 2023 promises to start in the best possible way. The Portuguese avant-garde pop-rock group is preparing to enter its twentieth year of a career with Fingertips Live XPerience 2.0, celebrating two decades of one of the most iconic and memorable bands in the national spectrum.
Bringing together the lineup with which it all began, 2023 features not only the Fingertips that brought us the delicate and incomparable subtleties of “Picture Of My Own” and the romantic and addictive ballads of “Cause To Love You”, but also yet to all this a new, rejuvenated and joyful facet, where songs like “Better” and “Dark Phoenix” expose an acquired taste for the electronic component and for the flammable beats and melodies where modern pop is king. Over their 20-year career, the Fingertips have had ample room to experiment with new sounds and ideas, work with some of the most influential producers like Mark Needham (The Killers, Imagine Dragons), and perform alongside musical icons like Queen, George Michael, Nelly Furtado among others. In February, all these experiences will be transposed into a single event.
It is taking place on February 4th in the M.ou.Co room at the Mouco Hotel, the Fingertips Live XPerience 2.0 appears as the great key to the group’s reignition, a recontextualization forged in new glossy textures, without forgetting the uncomplicated and sensitive roots upon which everything else was built. The event will also feature two renowned guest artists – Noble and Meestre.
Noble is an elusive artist. Although the singer-songwriter from Amarante only has two albums under his name, the truth is that the experience and quality that are apparent in his work and live performances are indicators of a more than-seasoned artist. The success he has already experienced speaks for itself: with his first single “Honey”, he began a period of almost 3 consecutive years with an impact on radio airplay in Portugal; with the debut album of the same name, he reaped the laurels for reaching the top of the national sales chart; later on, “Beautiful”, a single from his second album Secrets, put Noble back in the spotlight, with millions of plays on various streaming services. For 2023, between concerts on the national and international scene, the imminent third project in the artist’s career is also expected, of which we already had a first taste with his most recent single “Lost In You”.
From the stages of The Voice Portugal television contest to his first EP Between Words and Sound, the artistic path of singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Meestre is still young, but highly promising. The artist from Seixal bets on an approach centered on the melodic essence of the sound and on oscillations of emotional intensity, as opposed to a soft voice that expands without any effort. A concert not to be missed.
More than an event where great hits are remembered and the most recent themes are savored, Fingertips Live XPerience 2.0 represents the perspective of greater intimacy between those who play and those who listen.
