Portugal beats Bosnia Herzegovina and wins group B of the Silver League
The Portuguese women’s volleyball team beat Bosnia Herzegovina by 3-1 (25-21, 17-25, 25-20 and 25-23) and won the first place in group B of the qualifying phase for the ‘Final Four’ of the European Silver League.
With this triumph, the team led by João José, who had already won in the previous rounds against Estonia and Latvia, by 3-1 and 3-0, respectively, and guaranteed their presence in the ‘Final Four’, won group B with 14 points, followed by Bosnia and Herzegovina, with 13, Estonia, with nine, and Latvia, with no points.
The Portuguese Maria Lopes, with 17 points, was the best scorer of the match, followed by the Bosnian Dajana Boskovic, with 16, and the Portuguese Marta Hurst, with 15.
The ‘Final Four’ takes place on June 11th and 12th, in Maribor, Slovenia.
