“Québabes” was born – for those looking for a practical meal, but full of flavor, the new restaurant in the capital promises to innovate the concept of this dish with Turkish influences, betting on the quality of all the ingredients.
The new space dedicated to one of the most famous delicacies in the Middle East has already opened. Québabes, located in the Estrela area of Lisbon, opened its doors on July 1st and guarantees to bring a complete and innovative gastronomic selection for true kebab lovers.
The concept was born from the desire to raise the quality standard of one of the most requested specialties in Turkish cuisine. Based on the success story of a kebab space in Ourém and the seven-year experience of its owner – and now also a partner of this space – Nuno Marques, the idea of bringing this business to the capital’s prime area was launched after accepting the invitation of another entrepreneur also from the region, José Costa Rodrigues.
For this Québabes partner, also known for having founded Forall Phones: “I believe that people associate kebabs with “late-night food”, not very refined and with ingredients of dubious origin. For me, Nuno’s kebabs, in Ourém, they have always been a meal to have at the family table, given their quality. Elsewhere, this type of restaurant has always disappointed me, whether because of its external appearance or the poor quality of the food. We wanted to innovate in this sense and change mentalities, using reliable ingredients and winning over customers. We intend this to be just the first of many “Québabes” from North to South of the country.” – says the entrepreneur José Costa Rodrigues.
In the Québabes menu you can find several different dishes for those looking for a practical but tasty meal, for now only in delivery in an exclusive partnership with Glovo. There are kebabs for all tastes, from the more traditional ones like the Québabe Pita, Durum or Wrap, to the bolder ones like the Québabe in Bolo do Caco (Madeira Island) and Bolo Lêvedo (São Miguel Island). In addition, the menu is also complemented by vegetarian alternatives, such as the Pita Veggie dish and the Pita Veggie Burger. For those looking for an alternative to kebab, there is also Pita Chorro and Pita Burguer.
The price of the menus varies between €7.50 and €10.20, which includes an individual dose of chips and drink.
Operating since the beginning of July in delivery mode through the “Glovo” platform, Québabes promises to revolutionize the offer of this type of quick meal for everyday life, with options that combine the traditional flavors of the Middle East with freshness and the quality of national ingredients.
