Last Tuesday, Luís Filipe Vieira revealed that Joao Félix was going to be the next youngster to renew his contract with Benfica, promising a high rescission clause to avoid harassment of possible European ‘sharks’.
In the edition of this Friday, the newspaper A Bola reveals that the new contract will be signed after the duel against Moreirense, with João Félix renewing for another five seasons [until 2023 – one year more than João Félix has yet to connect to the eagles] and a termination clause of 120 million, which means that the value that prevails in the current document will be doubled.
In the contract of the Portuguese international sub-21, it is also mentioned that there will be a significant salary increase. Normally a footballer who passes from team B to the main squad, Benfica offers a gross annual value of 90 thousand euros, more objective, defined every ten games: ten games are worth 50 thousand euros, 20 games are worth 100 thousand and so on.
