At Culturgest, last Wednesday, the presentation of Drawing Circles, the new musical project by Chão Maior, took place. This project started in mid-2018 and was aggravated at the Convento de São Francisco, in Montemor-o-Novo.
This group is composed by Yam Tembe, composition and trumpet, Norberto Lobo, guitar, Ricardo Martins, drums, Leonor Arnaut, singer, João Almeida, trumpet and Yuri Antunes, trombone. All of these artists, with proofs given in the artistic milieu, contributed to a very special concert.
At this show the ensemble had the special participation of Salomé Pais Matos on harp, with the visual / video part being in charge of Igor Dimitri.
Chão Maior seeks inspiration from Rock and Jazz music, in addition to having the individual mastery of each member of the band, where the drums and voice stand out, making these two instruments the link between all members of the band, thus resulting in a perfect musical circle, where the improvised music is complemented by the visual part that was in charge of Igor Dimitri.
This concert of the “Drawing Circles” album had a full house in the Great Auditorium of Culturgest, with an enthusiastic audience showed its satisfaction.
