MOGA Caparica has started the countdown to another edition in Costa da Caparica.
For 2023, MOGA Caparica has a vast program within the festival – MOGA IN -, but also a varied offer of contents in the program around the event – MOGA OFF. Antoine Biehler revealed that “we expect to receive around 12,000 festival-goers to attend the performances and we are expecting around 7,000 more people who, over the 5 days of MOGA (3 days of festival + 2 days of pre-MOGA activities), can enjoy the programming that we have prepared, which ranges from surf classes, to yoga classes, beach cleaning, parties, exhibitions, talks, among other activities.”
In all, more than 150 artists are expected over 5 days and the musical lineup that announced the first names in March is now complete.
But before the sound invades Porto da Onda and Praia Irmão, MOGA Caparica opens on the 31st with a Yoga class at Palms Dr. Bernard, a Surf lesson on the beaches of Caparica, a parade through the streets of Porbatuka Parade (an open event). Still at Palms Dr. Bernard there will be an exhibition and, of course, the opening party, the Capalaxy Open Party, with Camion Bazar, Dolce Vito, Violet and William Florelle (free entry, but reservations required through Shotgun – see official website).
On the 1st of June, the invitation to a yoga class and a surf class remains, but the highlight of the day goes to cleaning up the beaches. This year, MOGA Caparica has a main sponsor, FMR Brands, whose drinks SAVG Lyf and SAVG Energy are the official drinks of the festival. And it is precisely FMR Brands that will carry out the beach cleaning on the 1st of June (Palms Dr Bernard), in partnership with the activist Andreas Noe of The Trash Traveler and the Planet Caretakers Association, through Débora Sá. In the afternoon it’s time to travel along the Tagus River on the Fuse Boat Party, in partnership with Fuse Records. From 5 pm to 10 am the music is on board a boat. (Attention: limited tickets) June 1st closes with SAVG Party at Lorosae with Antoine Gilleron, Bas Ibellini, Just Kelly, Ouissam and Venga Venga. Free entry for those who have the 3-day pass and for those who don’t, tickets cost €12.
From the 2nd to the 4th of June it is time for great performances: from 2 pm to 2 am, the artists “invade” Posto da Onda and Praia Irmão. Also on these days there are activities in the morning such as Yoga and Surf and, also, a daily After Party, from 00:00 to 06:00 at Quinta Magic Yard, near Costa da Caparica.
During the entire period of MOGA Caparica, festival-goers can also count on a diversified gastronomic offer curated by TAC! Agency that encompass concepts as diverse as Burger Queens (PALMS), Ma biche pizza (Posto da Onda), Ninja Buns (Posto da Onda), Chef João Augusto do Vila Bica (Posto da Onda), La Paleta (PALMS and Posto da Onda) and Chef David and Marin Doner Khebab’s (Praia Irmão).
