A 1200m2 space occupied so far by a Portuguese startup will be transformed into an inspiring workplace for around 160 people.
In 2021, Heden obtained around 1.3 million euros from investors to finance the expansion and lead the new work model in Portugal.
Heden, a Portuguese brand of coworking spaces founded in 2018 by László Varga and Manuel Bastos, announces today the opening of its fifth shared workspace, at the Rossio Station. With 1200m2, 2 floors, and available to accommodate 160 people, including temporary visitors, freelancers and business clients, Heden Rossio joins the spaces in Santa Apolónia, Chiado, Graça and Intendente.
With a total investment of 400,000 euros in the remodelling of the space, Heden Rossio has a design intervention project that aims to transform the current office into a new, modern space that gives priority to collaborative ways of working, respecting the building’s historic fabric.
Heden has global leading companies in the digital and creative areas in its spaces, such as the Brazilian “unicorns” Gympass and Loggi, but also other recognized companies such as Marley Spoon and Ironhack, among many others.
Using sustainable and recycled materials such as bamboo, cork and burel wool, Heden Rossio will thus provide a comfortable environment and a warm and personalized atmosphere for both independent members (professionals) and companies (corporate).
“The opening of our fifth space in this historic building in Rossio is another step towards establishing ourselves as the reference project for coworking spaces in the city of Lisbon”, explains Manuel Bastos, co-founder of Heden. “The last 18 months have boosted new ways of working, and hybrid and flexible models are increasingly sought after by national and international companies and freelancers who do not do without a comfortable, sustainable, flexible and safe workspace.”
With the pandemic proving to be one of the biggest challenges for the growing cowork industry in Lisbon, Heden continued to grow during this period and currently has full occupancy of its remaining spaces, proving that after the worst of the pandemic period, cowork is increasingly proving to be the sustainable solution for companies facing a present and future of hybrid work.
It should be recalled that in 2021, Heden had a round of financing of 1.3 million euros led by the Navigator Venture Capital Fund, managed by the Portuguese Lince Capital, which will allow the expansion of this new concept of spaces. in Portugal.
Heden was founded in 2018 with the first space in Graça. Three years later, and with a pandemic in between, Heden asserts itself as one of the most dynamic shared workspace companies, with an offer designed for the new model of post-pandemic work, offering five inspiring spaces in the Portuguese capital (Graça, Intendente, Chiado, Santa Apolónia and soon Rossio) with more than 3,200 m2 and around 400 jobs.
