Lisbon among the best places of the future
London, New York, San Francisco, and Sydney are examples of expansion and entrepreneurship known to all, but beyond the most obvious success stories, there are other places in the world, cities, and locations where the future is being built. Lisbon is one of them.
[dropcap]T[/dropcap]he Portuguese capital was chosen from more than 150 cities around the world as one of the “21 Places of the Future” and pointed out as a reference for digital transformation on a global scale, according to the study carried out by Cognizant.
A stable local government/administration, the quality of universities, and access to private capital are among the parameters that most contributed to Lisbon standing out for its entrepreneurial capacity in the assessment made by the North American company. The Portuguese capital turns out to be one of the only three European cities to make the final list of 21 Places of the Future.
Tel Aviv (Israel), São Paulo (Brazil), Wellington (New Zealand), Dundee (Scotland), Toronto (Canada), Atlanta, Sacramento and Portland (USA), Kochi (India), Songdo (South Korea), Tallinn (Estonia), Shenzhen and Haidian, Qu-Beijing (China), Nairobi (Kenya), Lagos (Nigeria) and Da Nang (Vietnam) are the cities that accompany Lisbon in this study.
