Marcelo Barbosa presents a photographic exhibition at Armazéns do Chiado

After Joaquim Gomes, Lou Mourelle and Bogdan Dide, art is back at Armazéns do Chiado, in Lisbon, by the hand of photographer Marcelo Barbosa. From August 11th to September 20th, the ARTE XXIADO gallery will host “Costa Portuguesa”, a photographic exhibition with 13 very Portuguese portraits that bring the artist’s vision of our coast.

From the small sand dunes and salt water lagoons that form in the Sado estuary, to low tide at the beach of troia, passing by the cliff of cabo da roca, the beach of ribeira do Cavalo, Ursa or Samoqueira, this show photography aims to show, in 13 photographs, some of the most beautiful landscapes in the world, which show why people head to Portugal and why they let themselves be enchanted and, so often, end up staying.

Marcelo Barbosa was born in Brazil, came to live in Canada and since 2015 Lisbon conquers his heart, where he lives. In six years he has photographed more than 100 hotels in 30 countries on 4 continents and currently has works on display in private collections in Portugal, Brazil, England and Canada.

The exhibition can be seen according to the opening and closing times of the shopping centre, at ARTE XXIADO, a space where art, expression, vision and senses come together, in an unmissable meeting in what is, par excellence, the Lisbon Meeting Point!
