Quinta da Pacheca’s 80-Year-Old Port is a testament to the times
Quinta da Pacheca reveals one of its rarest treasures. Created from wines produced in the early 20th century, it has aged silently for decades in century-old barrels. Time preserves and shapes Pacheca 80-Year-Old Tawny Port, a testament to generations of patience and mastery.
Much more than a wine, it is a true legacy. One of the Douro’s most renowned producers, with the expertise to bring excellent Port wines to the market, is proud to share Pacheca 80-Year-Old Tawny Port with wine lovers. Winemaker Maria Serpa Pimentel and João Silva e Sousa describe this tawny as “a testament to the times” and present it as “a collectable wine, a rare legacy that reflects the patience, the wisdom of generations, and the expertise acquired by Quinta da Pacheca.”

Stored with the utmost care, this extremely rare wine spent eight decades in oak barrels, creating a story that honours the past, celebrates the present, and remains for posterity. With a deep amber colour, as tawnies are, and marked by subtle greenish reflections from the long ageing in wood, Pacheca Porto Tawny 80 Anos reveals a unique complexity. Notes of walnuts, toasted almonds, dried figs, dates, and hints of coffee, cocoa, and spices stand out. On the palate, it is elegant and enveloping, with a silky texture, layers of dried fruit, and vibrant freshness. The finish is long and lingers in the memory. This is a Port for contemplation, designed to mark special occasions. It also finds expression at the table, paired with intense cheeses, foie gras, dried fruit desserts, or dark chocolate with a high cocoa content.
The Pacheca 80-Year-Old Tawny Port is available exclusively at Quinta da Pacheca in Lamego, or on the website at quintadapacheca.com
