Richie Campbell, Rich the Kid and Teezo Touchdown confirmed in Sudoeste

From August 7th to 10th, with camping opening on August 3rd, all roads lead to the Sudoeste.
The soundtrack of this summer’s chosen destination has three new confirmations: one of the most important national artists of the last decade, Richie Campbell, one of the pillars of the Atlanta trap scene, Rich the Kid, and one of the most innovative artists of the new generation of musicians, Teezo Touchdown.
Richie Campbell is the first great internet musical phenomenon in Portugal with national and international success. With his unique blend of R&B, reggae, dancehall and afrobeat, Richie has become one of the country’s biggest music exporters, thanks to a series of successful records and singles, and also thanks to collaborations with the likes of Anthony B, Ky-mani Marley, Agent Sasco, Nelson Freitas, among many others. Among his hits are songs like “Do You No Wrong” or “Heaven and Slowly”.
The “LISBOA” project, critically acclaimed in 2017, collected more than 40 million streams and more than 100 million views on YouTube. The year 2023 marked the release of the long-awaited fifth album, marking a new phase of influences for the artist, without ever losing the identity that won over everyone.
With the success of the singles “Tsunami” (with Gson), “Let You Go”, “Floating” and “Love Again”, Richie Campbell once again lives up to the high expectations created by his talent. In the concert prepared for this year’s edition in the Southwest, Richie Campbell will take to the stage the songs from the brand new “Heartbreak & Other Stories”, without ever forgetting the hits that made him one of the most important national artists of the last decade. Dimitri Roger, born in Queens, New York, became Rich the Kid in the music world. He moved to Atlanta as a teenager and it was there that he began to blossom into music. Influenced by hip-hop icons like Nas, Tupac, Notorious B.I.G., T.I. or Jeezy, Rich has become a mainstay of the Atlanta trap scene.
He initially gained prominence thanks to collaborations with artists such as Migos or Young Thug. In 2016 he founded his own publishing company, Rich Forever Music, releasing a series of mixtapes and singles that catapulted him to fame. “New Freezer”, with Kendrick Lamar, was one of those hugely successful songs, released in 2017 and now multiplatinum.
Along this path, Rich the Kid released several albums that confirm him as one of the most talented rappers of his generation, such as “The World Is Yours” (2018), “The World Is Yours 2” (2019) or “Boss Man” ( 2020). In addition to these records, his CV also includes collaborations with names like Lil Wayne, Post Malone or Nicki Minaj. In addition to his career as a rapper, Rich the Kid is also known for his entrepreneurial vision, having even launched his clothing brand and established partnerships in several other businesses.
With a unique style, Rich navigates through various genres, from melodic trap to drill, demonstrating a rare versatility and already having several significant contributions to hip-hop culture. In August he passes through Portugal, on the 8th, in the Southwest.
Teezo Touchdown is an American rapper and singer known for having a unique approach, with a style that mixes elements of hip-hop, R&B and rock. He has gained recognition through his strengths on social media, especially on TikTok, where his songs and viral videos have gained an ever-wider audience.
Teezo Touchdown is praised for its originality and authenticity, with an enviable sense of humour and inexhaustible energy, evident both in his recordings and in his live performances. His lyrics address his own experiences, with reflections on contemporary culture and modern life. Throughout his career, he has released a series of singles and EPs, including hits such as “Wake Up”, “Strong Friend” and “Rooting For You”. In 2023 he released his debut album.
“How Do You Sleep at Night?” proposes a true melting pot of sound to which it is very difficult to remain indifferent. Often cited as one of the most innovative artists of the new generation of musicians, Teezo impresses the audience at each concert with truly energetic and charismatic performances, which capture the essence of his eccentric personality as well as his genuine passion for music. The Portuguese public can expect one of those passionate moments during the rapper’s visit to Portugal, in the Southwest, on August 7th.
