Five friends face an adventure of 13 thousand km and help the cause of the Salvador Association

A solidarity-based initiative draws attention to road prevention and support for people with reduced mobility – who in modern Portugal continue to face extreme difficulties.

The adventure starts on June 1st, crosses 15 countries and ends 30 days later, at an altitude of 307 meters, over the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea. Objective: to raise €1 for each km, 13 thousand euros to be given to the Salvador Association.

This could be the story of five adventurous friends, in love with the infinity of the road drawn on two wheels, with that feeling of infinite freedom renewed on each trip. Five friends set off towards Cape do Norte, on a route of 13,000 km, passing through 15 countries and ending at an altitude of 307 meters, over the Norwegian Sea and the Barents Sea. But it’s much more than that.

The adventure is also a solidarity mission, which aims to raise awareness of the importance of road safety and the difficulties that people with reduced mobility continue to face in modern Portugal. Therefore, the Nordkapp 2024 Expedition takes to the road on June 1st, proposing to raise the symbolic value of €1 for each kilometre, a minimum of €13,000, which will be delivered, directly and in full, to the Salvador Association. The donation mechanism is simple: via bank transfer (IBAN: PT50 0007 0000 0003 0526 6772 3 – description Norway) or MBWAY (927 639 010 – description Norway).

“No difficulty can be greater than the desire to get closer to this cause. And no difficulty can be greater than the strength of all those who want to join this initiative. We are passionate about the challenge of the road, but we believe in the true values of sharing, respect, ethics and citizenship. We believe in a safe road. And we believe that, through the road, we can help all those who can no longer travel like us, supporting the fantastic mission of Associação Salvador. We, therefore, launch an appeal to all interested parties, friends, anonymous people or even companies, to join this cause and be able to help people with reduced mobility”, says Fábio Queirós, a 33-year-old computer engineer and one of the protagonists of this adventure.

In addition to Fábio Queirós, the group also includes Jorge Baltazar (47 years old, Osteopath), Pedro Martins (44 years old, Industrial Engineer), André Matos (46 years old, Independent Herbalife Distributor) and Raphael Alvim (39 years old, Real Estate Consultant). Everyone addresses the expectations surrounding this adventure in this link. And through official social networks, on Instagram and Facebook, they aim to document the day-to-day experience.
