A surprising day at Festival F, several concerts with sold-out venues and queues to get in, if perhaps it was unexpected for the Vizinhos, Buba Espinho, Rita Rocha, Bispo and Ana Moura, not so much, another day in which the Festival brought to the public some of the best Lusophone music
The third day of Festival F began with a warm and radiant afternoon, but nature threw a surprise: as night fell, fog and drizzle settled in. Nothing could dampen the party’s brilliance—the weather soon turned, and the night was filled with musicality, energy, and great performances. A vibrant crowd, top-notch artists, and that unique atmosphere that only Festival F can offer.
Buba Espinho captivated Faro with a fantastic, packed concert on the Sé Stage. Alentejo cante and the Alentejo are finally being recognised for their art and beauty. The surprise, however, was the sold-out Magistério venue for Vizinhos, a band also rooted in Alentejo cante, which captivated a very young audience, as well as many others. Due to the limited space, many were unable to see the concert and were left in line waiting.
Less surprising were the long lines to see Rita Rocha at Quintalão. The young artist continues to captivate many loyal fans, who follow her to every show and know all her lyrics and songs.
Another concert on the Sé Stage, also captivating festival-goers, was performed by the explosive, fantastic, and talented Ana Bacalhau, who, as always, brought all her talent and successes to the stage, combining themes from her most recent work and Faro, dancing and singing, on this joyful journey under Ana’s baton.
We also highlight Jorge Cruz on the Arco Stage at the Museum, Diogo Zambujo and Jéssica Pina, who brought many fans to the museum’s cloisters with an excellent concert, perhaps the largest audience in this space in the first three days of the festival.
On the main stage, Ana Moura and Bispo were the biggest fans, while Ana took to the stage with Casa da Guilhermina, where fado blended with the artist’s African roots, in a symbiosis that was not only harmonious but also beautiful, which enchanted the festival’s audience. Bispo brought all his talent to the stage, which he shared with friends for the realisation of this celebration of Portuguese music.
