Mabel revealed today a new single, “Stupid Dumb,” featuring global superstar Ty Dolla $ign.
Recorded in the heart of Los Angeles, “Stupid Dumb” is a perfect fusion of Mabel’s voice and Ty Dolla $ign’s signature smoothness. Produced by Grammy-nominated Tommy Brown, the single showcases the electrifying chemistry of the duo as they exchange raw and sincere confessions about losing control and being ready to risk everything for love.
Mabel said about the single: “‘Stupid Dumb’ is about when you’re crazy for someone. I wanted to capture that feeling of euphoria you get when that special person is all you can think about. Working with Ty Dolla $ign on this single was very special. I’ve been a big fan of his for a long time and our recording session was one of my favorites ever!”
After returning to her R&B roots with “Vitamins” earlier this year, Mabel shared a series of critically acclaimed singles, including the song “Chat” and the powerful anthems “Look At My Body Pt.II” with Shygirl and “Female Intuition,” which “ELLE” crowned as the number 1 song of summer 2024. That marked the beginning of a new and exciting reintroduction of the award-winning artist.
Mabel caught attention this season at fashion week, performing at ETAM’s Live Show 2024 in Paris and participating with names like Jawara Alleyne, Acne Studios, and British Vogue x Rabanne. Earlier this year, Mabel took the stage at the Notting Hill Carnival to debut her single “Chat.” This followed several performances at festivals across Europe last summer, including BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend, Primavera Sound, and the Open’er Festival, among others.
