Qatar Airways restructures more than 550 weekly flights to over 85 destinations

The airline recently announced the resumption of flights to Adelaide, Auckland, Houston, Kigali, London Gatwick, Nairobi, Philadelphia and Sialkot.

Qatar Airways continues to lead the aviation industry’s recovery, maintaining its leading position in the market. In August, Qatar Airways announced the return of eight destinations, including Adelaide, Auckland, Houston, Kigali, and London Gatwick.

The fact that the airline has a wide range of low-consumption aircraft has meant that, despite the pandemic, there could be a greater number of flights offering passengers more flexible travel options to many destinations like Ankara, Cebu, Clark, Dhaka, Islamabad, Karachi, and Lahore.

Mr. Akbar Al Baker, CEO of the Qatar Airways Group, said that “since the beginning of the pandemic, the Qatar Airways network has always maintained at least 30 destinations with continuous services to five continents. Our company is an industry leader and offers even more options and more flexibility so that passengers can plan and book their trips with confidence. More advanced safety and hygiene measures were also implemented onboard, including having become the first airline to require passengers to wear a visor, in addition to a mask”.

With our investment in one of the most recent and economical long-haul fleets and with better strategic management of the Best Airport in the Middle East, we were able to quickly and effectively rebuild our network for more than 550 weekly flights and for more than 85 destinations on six continents. As the global recovery continues, Qatar Airways will remain focused on its fundamental mission, which is to transport passengers around the world safely and confidently”, adds the head of the company.

To ensure that travelers can plan their travels with peace of mind, the airline has also expanded its booking policies to offer passengers more options and will allow unlimited date changes and change the destination as often as necessary.

The airline will not charge any difference in value for travel completed before December 30, 2020, after which the rules will apply. All tickets booked for travel until December 31, 2020 will be valid for two years from the date of issue.

According to the latest data from IATA, Qatar Airways became the largest international airline between April and June, fulfilling its duty to take people home. The airline has strictly implemented the most advanced safety and hygiene measures onboard its aircraft as well as at Hamad International Airport.
